Eight Week Structured Group:

Groups are formed quarterly and designed with specific curriculum to delve into deeper grief issues. Please call for information about the next scheduled group.

Education:

Grief management workshops are offered four times a year to help people understand and work through their grief.

Communications:

Sympathy cards are sent to families and friends who experience loss. Bereavement services are explained at this time.

Newsletters are mailed out three times a year and contain information regarding support group and workshop schedules, helpful articles, suggested reading and local support services.

Anniversary letters affirm our sympathy and remind families and friends of the continued bereavement support available.

Telephone Follow-up:

Support is offered for friends and families throughout the year following a death. Those needing additional help in the healing process may make appointments with our grief counselors at any time.

Referral Services:

Our Bereavement Department maintains a current listing of grief support services available in both the Denver area and nationwide. In addition, we maintain referral lists of resources located outside the categories of grief and loss.

Programs and Seasonal Events:

The Hospice of Saint John hosts an annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, which is a signature special event the first Friday of December. This free to the public event offers an opportunity to celebrate the memory of loved ones, particularly difficult during the holidays. The event includes a tree lighting, special crafts for children, carriage rides, refreshments and a reading of memorialized names.
